Carbon dioxide (CO2) is a gaseous component in the Earth's atmosphere. The concentration of CO2 in natural atmospheric air is about 0.04% or 400ppm. With every inhalation, people combine oxygen (O2) into carbon dioxide. Although carbon dioxide is invisible and odorless, increased content is evident because people experience signs of increased fatigue and decreased concentration. In high-occupancy rooms such as conference rooms and theaters, the negative effects are all the more obvious.
